Poker Face” and “Love Game” may have never seen the light of the music world if it hadn’t been for Papa Gaga.

Lady Gaga, is best known for her wacky and outrageous outfits and the terminology “disco stick” which intrigues us all, might not have made it to the into the music world if it hadn’t been for her father. Gaga openly admitted that she abused cocaine among other drugs. She battled with the class A drug for years and started pissing away her future. After dropping out of New York University and delving into drugs, her father stepped in one time.

‘My father is a really powerful man, a telecom guy. So he looked at me one day and said, “You’re f***in’ up, kid.” And I looked at him and thought, “How does he know that I’m high right now?” “And he never said a word about the drugs, not one word. But he said, ‘I just wanna tell you that anyone you meet while you’re like this, and any friend that you make in the future while you are with this thing, you will lose.’ And we never talked about it again.’

That was all it took for her to examine her path. Friends also fueled her awareness of the problem and she started to clean herself up. ‘I didn’t think there was anything wrong with me until my friends came over and said, “Are you doing this alone?” ‘Um, yes. Me and my mirror’.” ‘But I was able to stop, because I was panicking more on the drugs than I was sober. So I’m fine now.’

Of course we all know this queen of being candid doesn’t stop there. She also admitted that she still likes to “party” on occasion, but has control of her issue. ‘I can drink, and I’m not gonna say that I don’t party. But it’s not everyday, and it’s no longer a tool for my creativity.” Not be a Sally on the drug issues, but do you ever really have control of an addiction? Clearly she isn’t meant to be a role model, but it scares me that she still is. I like her and her music, but this seems a bit delusional
